Mitch Roberts has been tattooing for about 28 years. He started out in Ottawa, and has been in Toronto for the last 11 years. Formerly a full time musician, he decided to supplement his income through tattooing once the live venues started to disappear. Before too long, he didn’t have time for music anymore, and built his own tattoo bus that allowed him to travel around for years.
As far as his tattoo career goes, he loves it and can’t think of any better way to make a living, as how he puts it, “When you love what you do for a living you never work a day in your life.” Mitch looks forward to coming to work each and every day. Although he enjoys all styles of tattooing, he favors doing black and grey, but still loves to do large color pieces as well.
“ The great thing about being a tattoo artist is that every time you sit down, you are doing a brand new piece, so you never get bored. I’ve tattooed Cory Haim and Josh Paul of Daughtry, to name a few.”
